Festival of Peace: Cars should take the Airport Parkway.

Anyone who is getting to the Festival of Peace by CAR is advised to take
the Airport Parkway. Turn off the Airport Parkway at the Alert Road exit
(about 1 km. before the Ottawa International Airport). Then, turn right
off the ramp onto Uplands Drive and go south less than a km. to the
Festival of Peace.

Note: There will be a police roadbock at Alert Dr. However, (at a meeting
yesterday) the head of traffic police (Sgt. John Crozier) offered to allow
anyone going to the Festival of Peace to go through the road block. If
stopped, all you have to do is tell them that you are attending the
Festival of Peace and they'll let you through. Coming by the Airport
Parkway will be much faster than going along Hunt Club. On Hunt Club you
will probably get stuck in the traffic which is going into the "National
Capital Air Show" (a.k.a. the war show).

The police will be closing the Airport Parkway to all traffic EXCEPT
emergency vehicles, people going to the airport and people going to the
Festival of Peace! So, once again, if asked, just say you are going to the
Festival of Peace and they'll let you through.

Very convenient parking will be available for the Festival of Peace all
along the west side of Uplands Dr., just south of Breadner Blvd.

See you there!

Saturday, September 16
between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
At Uplands Dr. and Breadner Blvd.

Buses: You can also take a bus to South Keyes. It's on the transit way so
buses get there very quickly.
From South Keyes you can transfer to the #147 which will take you right to
the Festival of Peace.
The #147 leaves South Keyes for the Festival of Peace at a 5 past each hour.
