* DEFENDING THE RIGHT TO DISSENT - Support the Ontario

political protest. Hear first hand the events that took place on June
15th, the police crackdown that followed, and how to support the
charged protesters & anti-poverty struggle. With Shawn Brant

=== Please tell them you read about it in the Planet-Friendly! ===

"All larger organisms, including ourselves, are living testimonies
to the fact that destructive practices do not work in the long run. In
the end, the aggressors always destroy themselves, making way for
others who know how to cooperate and get along. Life is much less
a competitive struggle for survival than a triumph of cooperation
and creativity." - Fritjof Capra, "The Web Of Life"

issues of sustainability, social justice & democracy. Hundreds of
volunteers are working together, campaigning, and having fun, in
the days leading up to Toronto's Nov. 13 elections. Please join us!
All welcome! 416-532-3939 tooker@web.ca

"Elections are more than just voting on election day. They are a
time to talk about & consider what is possible. What sort of future
do we want? We are engaging Torontonians on the issues of the
day, from smog to garbage; from homelessness to citizenship. Our
campaign seems to be touching a nerve. Untold numbers of
Torontonians believe that there is more to our city than plastic
moose! In one night Mayor Lastman raised upwards of a million
dollars from the rich & powerful for his re-election campaign.
That's not democracy -- it's plutocracy -- rule by the rich and
powerful." - Tooker Gomberg, Toronto Mayoral Candidate.
