"Heal Thyself": Managing Health Care Reform

Mykhalovskiy & Jerry P. White)
The for-profit sector has become a model for health care management, but
there has been little research demonstrating that management practices
developed mainly with market goods and services in mind will either be
efficient or effective in the delivery of health care.
"Heal Thyself" assesses the new ways of managing health care, focusing on
the major claims made by health care management in both the profit and
non-profit sectors.
Hugh Armstrong is a professor in the Department of Social Work, Carleton
University.
