Have you ever wondered about the common experiences, cultural
background and beliefs of your Aboriginal clients? Would you like to be able to
serve them better?
Wabano Center for Aboriginal Health is inviting you to
its first health fair on Friday, November 24, 2000. The program for the day
is:
10:00 am: Opening ceremony with Grandmother Irene
Lindsay.
10:30 am: Teaching in the lodge;
Sharing
with Darren Theoret;
Networking with Aboriginal agencies.
12:00 pm: Lunch
01:00 pm: Training session: Trauma and Substance Abuse - as
experienced by Aboriginal people. This training will be facilitated by Darren
Theoret and Mike Anderson.
03:00 pm: Closing ceremony with Grandmother Irene
Lindsay.
Wabano Center for Aboriginal Health is located
at:
299 Montreal Road, Vanier. Parking is available at the side of
building and on the street.
