[OPIRG-EVENTS] REVISED reminder of Demonstration

CALLING ALL ACTIVISTS TO JOIN IN
DEMONSTRATION !!
The time is once again upon us - the Federal Election English Debates.
These debates are closed to public participation. This will not prevent our
voices from being heard!!
What: A gathering of concerned individuals, organizations, groups, etc.
Date: Thursday November 9, 2000
Place: National Art Centre, 53 Elgin (at Queen)
Time: Gather around 7pm @ Elgin main entrance; debates begin at 8pm
Objective: To reflect the environmental concerns of Canadians by bringing
the issues to the politicians, media and general public.
Polling data shows that environmental issues are important to
voters – yet the party leaders have failed to address them as
such!!
Healthy Environment = Healthy Economy, Healthy Canadians, and a prosperous
future
Bring: The questions you want asked & the voice to ask them! Placards!
Puppets!! Imagination! Let’s bring environmental issues into the
forefront of this election!
