[OPIRG-EVENTS] Befriending The Earth groups

Monday, Jan. 8, 7:15 - 9:15 PM., BEFRIENDING THE EARTH (BTE1) - "A
course in videos". 8 Monday evenings in Jan-Feb. at Centrepointe House,
380 Centrepointe Dr, Nepean. Thought provoking videos by eco-spiritual
prophets such as David Suzuki, Rachel Carson, Thomas Berry, Elizabeth
Dodson Gray, David Abram and Paul Hawken, for inspiration, discussion
and action. This course in videos is also offered on Tuesday mornings,
beginning Jan. 9, 9:30 - 11:30 AM . Facilitators: Rev. Isobel McGregor
and Rev. Rob Campbell. Cost $25 for 8 sessions (includes handouts and
refreshments). To register call 820-0598.

Thursday, Jan. 11, 7:15 - 9:15 PM, BEFRIENDING THE EARTH (BTE2) -
"Designing the Green Economy". 2nd and 4th Thursday evenings, January
to April, at Bethany Baptist Church, 382 Centrepointe Drive, Nepean. A
study/action group based on book by Toronto's green activist and
educator Brian Milani who explores a practical, post-industrial
alternative to corporate globalization. Includes discussion, videos,
refreshments. Wheel chair accessible. Facilitator: Isobel McGregor.
Cost $20 for 8 sessions, plus text (about $20). Alternate meeting time
a possibility. To register call 820-0598.
