The Ismaili Muslim Community of Ottawa and the Ottawa Jubilee Coalition, a
local ecumenical Christian group, are joining together for a day of
reflection, learning and ideas for action on one of the most pressing
environmental issues of our time -- climate change. The key note address
will be given by Honourable David Anderson, Federal Minister of Environment.
The conference will be held at Northwestern United Church, 241, Northwestern
Avenue, Ottawa (adjacent to Scott Street) Saturday, January 27th 2001, 9.a.m.
- 3.30 p.m. (By bus take the 95 Baseline/Nepean South to Tunney's Pasture
and the 151 Carlingwood to Northwestern Avenue). The cost is $10 for lunch
($5 for underwaged). Please contact Anar Mamdani at 613 565-1990 to register.
