Date:           Saturday March 3rd, and Sunday March 4th, 2001, 1 PM to
4 PM
Place:          RA Centre, 2451 Riverside Drive, Ottawa

Saturday, March 3rd:

Partnerships in Community Corrections
Time:   1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Speaker: Bill Staubi, Director General of Rights, Redress and
Resolution,
Correctional Service Canada
followed by Panel Question and Answer Period
Mr. Staubi will discuss community safety, criminal justice issues and
forming partnerships within the Ottawa community.

Sunday, March 4th:
The Impact on Children of Parental Incarceration
Time: 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Speaker: Emani Davis, Osborne Association, N.Y
followed by Panel Question and Answer Period
Ms. Davis will address initiatives undertaken by corrrectional
institutions
on behalf of children and discuss her personal experiences.

Admission is free
Daycare services available on request
Ample free parking.

The House of Hope, located in Centretown, Ottawa, offers a supportive,
home-like atmosphere for adult males from federal penitentiaries who are
in
transition from a correctional institution to the community.  The
facility
provides counseling, employment assistance and access to community
resources
for ex-offenders. The House of Hope helps motivate and encourage these
individuals to return to productive community life.
