[OPIRG-EVENTS] Fwd: International Women's Day celebration




Talking Marigold and Mother Tongue Books are organizing a magical
evening of women's words in celebration of International Women's Day.
Short 
works of poetry, prose and spoken word will be performed by dynamic
Canadian 
women writers and actors. Works to be performed were selected from
hundreds 
of entries submitted from across Canada, and focus on women's diverse 
experiences.

All proceeds from the event will go to the WomenĘs Emergency Shelter.
Location: National Arts Centre, Fourth Stage, 53 Elgin Street, Ottawa.
Time and Date: 8:00 pm, March 8, 2001. Doors open at 7:00 pm.

Host: Sandra Abma, journalist, CBC radio
Tickets: $10.00 available in advance from the National Arts Centre or
Mother 
Tongue Books. $5.00 tickets for the unwaged or working poor available at 
Mother Tongue Books.

Talking Marigold is a group of Ottawa women who promote women's
self-expression.
