Octopus Books & Algonquin Press
invite you to a
Novel Reading
With Darren Greer

Darren will be reading from his first novel 'Tyler's Cape'.
" Set in rural Nova Scotia , narrated by Luke Conrad, who upon his return
home to take care of his elderly mother reocounts the often mysterious
history of his family. Blending humour, pathos and a stark realistic
portrayal of growing up on the Nova Scotian South Shore, the novel explores
a fifty year relationship beteween three brothers and examines the
difficult yet enduring nature of family."

"A wonderful novel. The characters are extremely well evoked and the story
packs an emotional punch."
Sylvia Pollard, Capital Xtra Magazine Ottawa.

produced plays and a number of short stories, poems and non-fiction
