[OPIRG-EVENTS] Ottawa Bike Fest June 9th
Time to register for the Ottawa Bike Fest!
Hello OPIRG list members!
Saturday June 9th, the date for the Ottawa Bike Fest, is fast approaching.
SCAVENGER HUNT
The Ottawa Bike Fest is a fun day of friendly competition -- teams of up to
5 people will compete in a scavenger hunt to locate six secret checkpoints
throughout the city, then answer trivia questions to chalk up more points.
INFO FAIR
Back at Vincent Massey Park, there'll be lots of great prizes for winning
teams, and our fair will feature displays and workshops by a dozen
organizations involved in cycling and sustainable transportation, including:
- OC Transpo's Rack & Roll
- Transport 2000 (with Light Rail model train)
- Citizens for Safe Cycling
- Commuter Challenge
- Auto-Free Ottawa
- re-Cycles Bicycle Co-op
- VRTUcar
- Many more!
Plus there'll be music, food and fun!
Bring out your friends and family to celebrate the Clean Air Week!!
You can register online at www.ottawabikefest.org. The cost is $10 or
pay-what-you-can, so everyone can come.
