About Didibahini:

DidiBahini ("Sisterhood is Powerful") is a non-profit non-governmental
organization, established in 1992 that facilitates gender mainstreaming into
the development process.  DidiBahini's mission is to promote a gender
equitable society in Nepal.

DidiBahini's strategies include:
· Providing a common platform for knowledge and informing sharing;
· Bringing NGOs/institutions together towards establishing a networking for
mutual help/cooperation;
· Facilitating networking and coordination between/amongst GOs/NGOs for
policy making and implementation;
· Enhancing capabilities of self-help groups and locally based NGOs to
promote gender equity;
· Advocating community groups to raise profile on gender issues; and
· Facilitating attitudinal changes of men/women on gender related issues.
