[OPIRG-EVENTS] Opportunity for NGOs! Info tables at Peace Festival Oct 6

         Invitation to NGOs to have
           info/literature tables
       and/or art/photo displays at the
"No to NATO: Festival of Creative Nonviolence"

        Saturday October 6, 1 - 5 pm.
in the north end of Majors Hill Park, Ottawa
(that's the park bounded by the Chateau Laurier, the National Art Gallery,
the Rideau Canal and across MacKenzie Ave. from the new US embassy)

NGOs are invited to set up info/literature tables/booths and/or displays of
photographs, artwork or educational materials at our peace festival.

Note: We will not provide the tables, you'll have to bring your own.

We hope you'll be able to join us for this event. It'll be a great
opportunity to have some fun, to share information about your work, to
network with other activists, to hear some music, poetry, speakers, etc.,
and to meet the public.

Logistics/delivery of materials: There is a laneway for vehicles to enter
Majors Hill Park at it's north end. (That entrance, across from the
Gallery, is on the south side of the road that connects to the bridge
heading over to the Museum of Civilization in Hull). You can deliver your
materials, displays, tables, etc., to that spot and drop them off but then
you'll have to park your vehicle elsewhere.

There is no charge to NGOs for this opportunity to display materials.
However, donations will be readily accepted by the Coalition to Oppose the
Arms Trade (see contact info below)!

Anything you can do to help publicize the event would be great. Hope to
see you there!

Cheers
Richard
