[OPIRG-EVENTS] Green Party Leadership Debate Sat. Oct. 13, 3-5 p.m.




An energetic contest for the leadership of the Ontario Green Party is
currently occurring between Leader Frank de Jong and Deputy Leader
Judy Greenwood-Speers, with debates organized across the province.

The Ottawa debate will be held:

		Saturday, September 13th
		3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
		at the Jack Purcell Community Centre
		(320 Jack Purcell Lane, just off Elgin at Lewis)

You are invited to join us for the lively discussions that will take
place.  Get involved and shape the future of the Green Party in
Ontario (GPO).  The GPO's membership has been steadily growing, almost
doubling over the past year. The Ontario Greens also received more
votes than the NDP in two of the last three by-elections.

The leadership winner will be decided at the GPO Annual General
Meeting in Port Hope on Sat. November 3rd. (Members may vote in
person, or by mail.)

**Please note that in order to vote, one must be a GPO member by this
Wednesday, October 3rd.  One can become a member with a minimum
donation of $10, payable by Visa by calling the GPO central office at
1-888-6GREEN6, or by mailing a cheque to 244 Gerrard St. East,
Toronto, ON, M5A 2G2 (must be received by Oct. 3rd).

The Ontario Green Party is part of an international network of Green
Parties.
