[OPIRG-EVENTS] showing of JOURNEY TO LITTLE ROCK

The Canadian Research Institute for the Advancement of Women (CRIAW) is 
celebrating its 25th anniversary with a showing of JOURNEY TO LITTLE ROCK.
"In 1957, nine black teenagers braved violent mobs, the National Guard and 
the Arkansa governor to attend an all-white school.  Minnijean  Brown 
Trickey was one of the 'Little Rock Nine' and the only one expelled by the 
school.  Haunted by the expulsion, she never lost the courage of her 
convictions.  This is the story of her life"

Minnijean will be at the screening and will respond to questions after the 
film.

Addena Sumter-Freitag will also be presenting a 20 inute segment of her 
play" Stay Black and Die"

Play 8:00p.m.
Film 9:00p.m.

Tickets can be purchased at the door - we also have them at Octpous Books 
116 third ave.

$15.00 ~general admission
$10.00 for CRIAW members
$5.00 for students and low income
