[OPIRG-EVENTS] Dec 21 8pm Cuban relief party w/ live music

Subject: Party in solidarity with the people of Cuba

A party in solidarity with the people of Cuba is being held at the Sacred
Family Church, 152 Glenora Ave., (in the neighbourhood of St. Paul's
University) at 8 pm Friday, Dec. 21st. There will be live music with Latin
American and Canadian artists. Minimum donation: $5.00/person.
All proceeds will go to those affected by Hurricane Michelle. See the
announcement on the OCC (Ottawa-Cuba Connections) site at:
http://www.ottawacuba.org/ Also at this site is a link to CCFA (Canada Cuba
Friendship Association) Toronto which has info on charitable donation tax
receipts.
The SC, Ottawa Chapter, has collected, so far, $415. The total amount
collected by Friday will be presented to a representative of CUPAZ (Cuban
Movement for Peace and the Sovereignty of the Peoples), or a Cuban Embassy
official on its behalf, at the party.
