[OPIRG-EVENTS] Work opportunity - organic farmer for eco-retreat centre

WANTED: an experienced organic farmer/gardener to help develop
organic gardens and a CSA at a beautiful 30 acre eco-spiritual retreat
and learning centre near Rockland, ON (1/2 hour drive east of Ottawa).
About 1/2 acre of vegetable gardens and a mixed organic orchard have
been newly established with room for further expansion of up to two or
three acres.  Knowledge of permaculture, biointensive gardening, soil
development, storage and marketing an asset. Our vision is that the
gardens become promotional and teaching models for ecological food
production and Community Supported Agriculture. As well as providing
learning opportunities and healthful fruits and vegetables for the
Centre's programs (e.g. kids' nature camp in the summer) and surrounding

community, the gardens would also provide income for the farmer through
sale of produce, at least from May to October. Details of  financial
arrangements to be worked out in a mutually beneficial way. Contact:
