Ever Wonder Who's Calling The Shots At The Ontario Ministry Of
Natural Resources?

RALLY IN KINGSTON  !

The Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters will be hosting a
Tory Candidate Forum at their annual meeting!!!

WHEN: Saturday February 23, 2002, 12 pm High Noon!

WHERE: The Ambassador Hotel, 1550 Princess Street, Kingston,
Ontario
1.800.267.7880,   Exit 613 off the 401 Hwy.

WHY: Because The Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters
continue to push for wildlife management policies that most
benefit the sport hunting and angling industry and at the peril
of overall ecological and wildlife well being.

And the Tories bend over backwards to fulfill every demand.

Since the Tories came to power in 1995, sport hunters and anglers
have enjoyed:

An expansion of sport hunting into protected areas;
A special slush fund, the Special Purpose Fund, now at approx. 50
million dollars annually dedicated to the enhancement of sport
hunting and angling opportunities. In comparison, funding for
the Species at Risk program stands at 2.4 million dollars;
Legislation that prohibits anyone from interfering with sport
hunters during the hunting season;
A Heritage Hunting and Fishing Act that will enshrine the "right"
to hunt for sport hunters and anglers;
A Fish and Wildlife Commission that could ultimately oversee the
management of wildlife in Ontario thus transferring this
responsibility to a third party. The result would likely be
wildlife management by hunters for hunters.

Join us in Kingston and send a strong message to the Tories that
wildlife management should be based on ecological principles that
respect natural balances and limitations. Sport hunting is NOT
conservation.

The Tory Candidate Forum is scheduled for 1:15 pm

RALLY at 12 pm High Noon !!!!!!
