The IMF has been imposing "structural adjustment programs" on developing countries
for decades.  (They say they want to ensure states will have enough American
dollars to pay back their loans to the World Bank, but really they are just
opening economies up to business.) The recipe: fiscal austerity, privatisation,
tax reform and lower labour & environmental standards.  Sounds familiar, doesn't
it?

Meanwhile, the Tories are meeting to choose a new premier on March 22-23.  The
recession won't sway them from their favourite debate: cut taxes for the rich
or cut our services?  Homelessness, user fees, packed emergency rooms and spiraling
tuition won't even be on the agenda!

Whether it's called a structural adjustment program or the "common-sense revolution",
when they attack, we fight back!
