The Canadian Environmental Network cordially invites you to the public event
of their Annua1General Assembly.

The Canadian Environmental Network (CEN) Annual General Assembly (AGA) is
the foremost annual gathering of Canadian environmentalists. It’s a major
environmental event, which brings together members of the CEN from across
Canada to meet, exchange ideas, and work together for the environment. As
this year is the 25th anniversary of the Canadian Environmental Network, we
will focus on the history of the CEN and its achievements and have invited
renowned speakers to address the issues of the Precautionary Principle, the
Canadian Preparations for the World Summit on Sustainable Development, and
an Update on the Kyoto Protocol.

The AGA will be held from May 23 to 26, 2002 at the Bonnenfant YMCA-YWCA
Outdoor Centre of Ottawa-Carleton.  This beautiful outdoor centre, located
on 130 acres of field, forest, trails, rugged shoreline, and sandy beach on
the Ottawa River, is only 30 minutes from the Nation’s Capital.

du Réseau canadien de l’environnement

L’Assemblée générale annuelle (AGA) du Réseau canadien de l’environnement
(RCE) est un événement environnemental d’envergure.  Il permet aux membres
du RCE, de partout à travers le Canada, de se rencontrer, d’échanger des
idées et de travailler conjointement pour l’environnement.   Puisque cette
année est le 25e anniversaire du réseau canadien de l’environnement, nous
nous concentrerons sur l'histoire du RCE et de ses accomplissements. Nous
avons aussi invité des conférenciers(ères) de renoms pour adresser le
principe de précaution, les préparations canadiennes pour le Sommet mondial
sur le développement durable, ainsi que pour donner une mise-à-jour sur le
protocole de Kyoto.

L'AGA aura lieu du 23 au 26 mai au Centre de plein air Bonnenfant YMCA-YWCA
d’Ottawa-Carleton. Ce splendide centre de plein air de 130 acres, dont le
paysage se compose de forêts, de terrains escarpés, de sentiers pédestres et
de plages le long de la rivière Ottawa, est situé à seulement 30 minutes du
centre ville de la capitale nationale.
