[OPIRG-EVENTS] Leitrim Wetland Preservation

On Monday, May 13, the Ottawa Group of the Sierra Club of Canada will
hold a public meeting on the biodiversity of the Leitrim Wetlands and
how the environmental assessment process applies to the Findlay Creek
Village subdivision proposal.
The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. in the Georgian Room on the 2nd
floor of the Metro Central YMCAYWCA at 180 Argyle Street, Ottawa.
The presenters are Albert Dugal, a retired botanist from the Museum of
Nature and an expert on wetlands, and Michael Lascelles, an expert on
environmental assessment with over 20 years' experience, including work
as a director of legislation and education at the Canadian Environmental
Assessment Agency.
