[OPIRG-EVENTS] Direct Action Case Work - Wednesday August 21st

Hey all,

a small group of people has recently started meeting
in Ottawa to discuss direct action casework, 
particularly around housing/tenant rights, 
immigrant and refugee rights and access 
to social services.
 
The formation of this group comes out of a recognition
that support is needed to people who are not be provided 
with their legal rights [whether as tenants, immigrants and
refugees or people living in poverty] and that direct action 
is needed, whether to obtain these rights or raise political 
awareness. 

We would like to send out a call out to anyone who 
is interested in getting involved with this group [which
is at the very beginning stages].   

The next meeting is on Wednesday August 21st 
at 6:00 pm at the Centretown Community 
Health Centre, 420 Cooper Street [just west 
of Bank].  

If you're interested, please come out to the meeting.  If you
can't make it out to the meeting, please get in touch with
me, either by phone or email.
