Guatemala: Human Rights Under Attack

The situation in Guatemala is deteriorating. Resurgence of the PACs (Civil
Patrols). Intimidation of members of popular organizations and NGOs.
Increased human rights violations. Increased military budget. Massive
government corruption.

We invite you to an evening of information and discussion on the current
situation in Guatemala. Come and hear what is going on.

Luis Lara of  the Guatemalan Union "Unidad de Accion Sindical y Popular
(UASP)" (Unity of Labour and Popular Action) will speak about the
deteriorating human rights situation and attacks against popular
organizations.

When :     Thursday, September 19th, at 7:00 PM.
Where:     Ascension Church, 253 Echo Drive (next to Immaculata High School)

The presentation will be followed by music and refreshments.
