Get Cooking During Poverty Awareness Week!
What: An Introduction to Facilitating Collective Kitchens
A 3 -day training course for people interested in facilitating or just
participating in a Collective Kitchen. In English and French.
When: Friday February 28th 4-7pm
Friday March 7th, 4-8pm
Saturday March 8th, 10 - 2 (practical cooking session)
Where: Sandy Hill Community Health Centre
221 Nelson Street
(across from Loblaws on Rideau)
ACCESSIBLE
Topics covered include: Different models of Collective Kitchens, How
to start a kitchen, Orientation, Planning and Cooking Sessions, Tips for
facilitation, Cross-cultural conflict resolutuion, Special events,
evaluation
This training is free but pre-registration is necessary. Childcare and
bus tickets are available. Participants will be asked to contribute
between 1:50 to $3.00 to purchase groceries for our 1 practical cooking
session.
