RÉUNION RÉGIONALE DE PLANIFICATION
En préparation à la visite de George W. Bush à Ottawa

L'Action communautaire anti-capitaliste (ACA) et le Comité pour la paix en
Iraq (CPI) invitent tous les groupes d'affinités, les organisations et les
individus à une réunion régionale de planification le 15 mars 2003 pour se
préparer pour la visite de George W. Bush à Ottawa au printemps prochain.

Avec l'arrivée de George W. Bush à Ottawa le 5 mai 2003, l'Action
communautaire anti-capitaliste (ACA) et le Comité pour la paix en Iraq ont
pensé qu'il serait approprié d'aider à la création d'un comité d'accueil
formé de tous ceux qui s'opposent aux politiques du président étatsunien.

L'ACA et le CPI seront les hôtes d'une réunion régionale de planification
où les groupes et les individus pourront commencer à collaborer et à
s'organiser collectivement en préparation au 5 mai.

La réunion du 15 mars nécessitera une certaine organisation logistique; il
y aura donc une réunion préliminaire le 26 février (7 pm au Cafe Alternatif, 
University di Ottawa) pour les gens d'Ottawa afin de planifier la réunion du 15 
mars. Le 26 février n'est pas une réunion décisionnelle au-delà des enjeux 
logistiques tels que l'endroit et les heures; les seules décisions qui 
ressortiront de la réunion du 26 seront des propositions pour les processus de 
prise de décision et de médiation qui seront utilisés le 15.

Bien que nous reconnaissons le droit et le désir des groups d'organiser
des actions autonomes, nous encourageons les groupes d'Ottawa/Gatineau (et
de la région de l'Outaouais) et des autres communautés qui s'organisent en
prévision de la visite de George W. Bush d'entrer en contact avec nous
afin que nous puissions coordonner nos activités. Notre but est d'aider à
bâtir une grande coalition de groupes et d'individus qui s'opposent aux
politiques de l'administration Bush et des systèmes d'oppression que cette
administration représente.

REGIONAL PLANNING MEETING 
To Prepare for a Visit to Ottawa by George W. Bush

Anti-capitalist Community Action (ACA) and the Committee for Peace in Iraq 
(CPI) invite all organizations, individuals, and affinity groups, to a regional 
planning meeting on March 15, 2003 to prepare for a visit to Ottawa this spring 
by George W. Bush.

With the arrival of George W. Bush in Ottawa on May 5, 2003 Anti-Capitalist 
Community Action (ACA) and the Committee for Peace in Iraq (CPI) felt it was 
only fitting to help create a welcoming committee of all those who oppose his 
policies.

ACA and the CPI will host a regional planning meeting on Saturday, March 15th, 
where groups and individuals can begin to collaborate and organize collectively 
in preparation for May 5th.

The March 15th meeting will require some logistical organization so there will 
be a preliminary meeting on Wednesday, February 26th for Ottawa folks to plan 
for the March 15th meeting. February 26th is not a decisional meeting, beyond 
logistics such as location and times, the only 'decision' items to come from 
the meeting on the 26th will be proposals for both the decision making and 
facilitation process to be used on the 15th.  (The February 26th meeting will 
be at 7 pm at Cafe Alternatif at the University of Ottawa. The Cafe is located 
in the basement of the Simard building, near Laurier)

While we recognize the right and desire for groups to organize autonomous 
actions, we encourage groups both in Ottawa/Hull (and Outaouais area) and other 
communities organizing around his visit to get in touch with us so we can co-
ordinate with each other. Our aim is to help build a large coalition of groups 
and individuals who oppose the policies of the Bush administration and the 
systems of oppression which that administration represents.
