National Group Show and Silent Auction

Gallery 101, 236 Nepean Street, Ottawa

Silent Auction: Thursday, August 14, 2003, 7-10 pm
Pre-viewing: August 9-13, weekend 1-5 pm, weekdays 4-9 pm

Art vs. War takes on art's most significant and troubling of functions, 
to remind people of the atrocities of war and to share visions of a
peaceful world. Featuring more than 70 artists from coast to coast (see 
list below), Art vs War covers a range of issues associated with the
some 30 wars taking place around the world today. The silent auction 
fundraiser goes toward supporting the efforts of War Child Canada,
assisting war-affected children and youth globally.

Note: This is not a Gallery 101 event.  Thanks to 101 for their 
generous 
donation of space.

L'ART vs la GUERRE

Exposition collective nationale et encan silencieux

Galerie 101, 235 rue Nepean, Ottawa

Encan silencieux : jeudi le 14 août 2003, de 19 à 22 heures
Examen des oeuvres : les 9 et 10 août, de 13 à 17 heures, et du 11 au 
13 
août, de 16 à 21 heures.

L'Art vs la Guerre fait appel à toute la puissance évocatrice de l'art 
pour nous rappeler les atrocités de la guerre, et nous faire partager 
des visions d'un monde en paix.  Plus de 70 artistes de partout au pays 
participeront à l'Art vs la Guerre afin de témoigner des préoccupations 
que soulèvent les quelques trente guerres en cours aujourd'hui. Les 
recettes de l'encan silencieux iront à l'association War Child Canada, 
pour aider les enfants victimes de la guerre ainsi que les jeunes de 
partout au monde.

À noter : cette exposition ne relève pas de la Galerie 101, que nous 
remercions pour son généreux accueil.
