REPORTING ON THE FIGHT AGAINST PRIVATIZATION OF HEALTH CARE
ORGANIZING THE CAMPAIGN FOR PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS-MARCH 2004


Nidia Diaz was a revolutionary leader during the Civil War that ended 10
years ago in El Salvador. Now she is a Deputy in the Central American
Parliament for the FMLN. A full biography is attached.

The fight against privatization of health care in El Salvador has made a
strong impression on labour and social movements in Canada. The FMLN has
played an important role in that struggle and is now organizing for
Presidential Elections in March of next year.
