PKI Thesis

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

My apologies if you get this message twice (or even thrice)...

This is to announce that my PKI References page at
http://www.xcert.com/~marcnarc/PKI/ has undergone a major overhaul, and is
now (hopefully) easier to use.

Also, along with the new page, I've (finally) web-ified the thesis which
inspired it. You can read A Survey of Public Key Infrastructures at
        http://www.xcert.com/~marcnarc/PKI/thesis/

It's already a bit dated (sigh). In particular, the SDSI/SPKI section is
now completely inadequate. Also, the PGP and SecureDNS parts could use a
little refreshening. Still, IMHO, it's good reference for people who want
to learn the basics about PKI technologies.

Comments are very welcome. I have a vague notion about turing the thesis
into a living "PKI FAQ" document, and would be happy to speak with anyone
who has ideas for, or who wants to help with, such a beast.

                Marc
