<self,s,d,a,v> is a 5-tuple.  If you sign it (since you are self and 
therefore have the issuer's private key), you get a CRC.  If you just
keep it in memory, you get a sort of ACL entry, by the way.

When you sign that statement, you're saying that you authorize s with tag a, 
delegation d and validity period v.  How you came to that conclusion is your 
own affair.  If someone else uses your statement as part of their own 
certificate chain, then they have made the choice to trust you.  
Most likely, you're the only one who will use it and you know you can trust 
yourself.

The (tag ...) intersection rules aren't in any current draft.  I need to put 
those in, hopefully this weekend.

Meanwhile, I need to get new glasses :)
