Production IPSP needed in July for pilot...
Chrysler has an immediate need for network level security for piloting in
July and production in September.
Basic configuration is 50 - 100 DOS/Windows PCs run LAN WORKPLACE for DOS
for their TCP/IP stack (some small flexablity on that from Proof of
Concept). 1 COMPAQ Prolina running Netware 4.1 (NWIP an option). 2 SPARC
1000s running Solaris 2.4. 1 RS/6000 running AIX. Nominal connectivity for
the PCs an Novell server is Ethernet, 10baseT. The SPARCs tend to be on
FDDI and the RS/6000 on T/R. PPP notebook access perdicted for October.
Code must be a shipping product. D&B will be run on all evaluated companies.
What else is out there besides the Timestep PERMIT product (granted,
pre-IPSP). Encrypting routers need not apply. I need security closer to
the devices.
