Jobs available *now* for the Folk Festival!

From: "Brian Silcoff" <briansilcoff@home.com>
Subject: Jobs at the Folk Festival

Gene Swimmer asked to have the following employment notice sent
out ASAP. "We are getting close to a crisis situation at the Festival
office. We have HRDC jobs, but no qualified (i.e. been on UI recently)
applicants, so the work is piling up."

So, if you know anyone who qualifies and who might be interested,
please let them know that:

THE FOLK FESTIVAL NEEDS TO HIRE SOME GOOD PEOPLE
====================================================
The CKCU Ottawa Folk Festival is trying to fill several positions for
the summer of 2000. These 20 to 25 week positions, which pay
approximately $415 per week, are made possible through a grant
from Human Resources Development Canada.

The jobs involve helping out the festival in a variety of ways
including volunteer co-ordination, writing material for the Festival
program, sponsorship and site management. To qualify for any
of these positions, AN APPLICANT MUST HAVE BEEN ON
EMPLOYMENT INSURANCE (UI) IN THE PAST THREE YEARS.
If you qualify and are interested in working for the Festival, call
Tania at 230-8234 for details.
