EMPLOI: ASSISTANT(E) DE CAMPAGNE DE CONSERVATION
La Société pour la protection des parcs et des sites naturels du Canada
(Section vallée de l'Outaouais) est ŕ la recherche d'une personne
dynamique pour combler le poste d'Assistant(e) de campagne de
conservation, travaillant surtout sur notre programme de conservation
Algonquin-Adirondack.
Sous la direction du Directeur, l'Assistant(e) de campagne gčre et
complete des projets spécifiques. Parmi ces fonctions sont les
suivantes:
1. recherche et redaction d'articles, bulletins, communiqués
2. logistiques pour conférences, réunions, activitées
3. coordoner la production de brochures, bulletins, etc.
4. assurer la communication soutenue avec nos partenaires
5. aider ŕ la coordonation des bénévoles et avec les médias
6. gestion des communications par courriel, télephone, télécopieur,
courrier
7. fournir un soutien administratif au Directeur
Qualitées recherchées:
Nous recherchons une personne méticuleuse, motivee, et trčs bien
organisée. Une maîtrise du français ou de l'anglais est requise, ainsi
qu'une habiletée avec les logiciels de bureau (traitement de texte,
courriel, internet). Le bilinguisme est un atout. Vous devez avoir un
diplôme universitaire et de l'expérience de travail (ou comme bénévole)
dans le monde des organismes non-gouvernementaux. Nous trvaillons en
équipe dans un petit bureau dynamique, mais vous devez travailler de
façon trčs indépendante tout en respectant des échéances spécifiques.
Surtout vous prennez ŕ coeur les parcs et les aires protégées, et vous
voulez ętre membre d'une éuipe qui fait l'impossible pour en assurer la
protection.

Le salaire sera entre $ 22 000 et $ 27 000 par année, selon la formation

JOB ANNOUNCEMENT: CAMPAIGN ASSISTANT
The Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS - Ottawa Valley
Chapter) seeks a highly motivated individual to work as a Campaign
Assistant, dedicated primarily to our Algonquin to Adirondacks
Conservation Initiative.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Campaign Assistant takes on
responsibility for specific tasks and projects and ensures their timely
and successful completion. Responsibilities include:
1. Researching and writing articles, campaign updates, and briefing
notes
2. Coordinating meetings, workshops, and special events
3. Coordinating production of communications materials
4. Maintaining ongoing communication with partner organizations
5. Assisting with media relations and volunteer coordination
6. Managing email lists, as well as general email, phone, mail, and fax
traffic
7. Providing administrative support to the Executive Director
Qualifications:
The successful applicant will work in a dynamic team environment but
will also be required to work independently and with minimum supervision
within tight timelines. Strong communication skills in French and/or
English and demonstrated organizational skills are required.
Bilingualism is a definite asset. You should have a university degree
and experience working in the nonprofit sector (paid or volunteer).
Current computer skills are essential (word processing, email, web). We
are looking for a self-starter with initiative who enjoys working in a
fast-paced office environment.
Above all, you have a love for wilderness and the drive to do what it
takes to keep it wild.

Salary ranges from $22,000 to $27,000 per year based on qualifications
and experience. The position is a six month employment term starting
October 16, 2000, with the possibility of renewal.
