[OPIRG-EVENTS] Benefit concert tickets
Dear friends,
Dec. 3rd is the third anniversary of the signing of the landmines ban treaty,
which as you may recall was signed here in Ottawa. This year on Sunday, Dec.
3 a benefit concert is being held at the National Arts Centre. The concert is
being organized by the Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation one of the
co-founders of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines (ICBL). Mines Action
Canada is the Canadian component of the ICBL, 1997 Nobel Peace laureate.
The concert is sold-out, BUT if you buy a Gold Circle Pass ticket through Mines
Action Canada (my organization) you can get a ticket to the concert ($80 value),
plus attend a post-concert reception, plus get a tax receipt for a portion of
the price. Total cost for the Gold Circle Pass is $150. Proceeds from the Gold
Circle Pass are shared between Mines Action Canada and the Canadian Landmine
Foundation.
