War, Sanctions and Canada; The Case of Iraq
Conference Goals
1) Public Education
To make accessible UN information on current conditions in Iraq and
analysis of the ongoing Security Council impasse.
2) A Forum for Broader Participation...
by Canadian human rights, international development, and
peace/disarmament organizations to learn about CANESI, and to discuss
the broader implications of economic sanctions policy in relation to
international law and global security.
Keynote Talk:
"Justice, Not Retaliation, for the Iraqi People"
Hans von Sponeck (Geneva), former UN Coordinator of the Humanitarian
Program in Iraq.
