[OPIRG-EVENTS] Sat.Dec.1 - Odawa Centre - Wapistan Concert
ODAWA NATIVE FRIENDSHIP CENTRE

Wapistan Concert - $10
12 Stirling Ave., at Scott St. (east of Parkdale Ave.).
Odawa will present Lawrence Martin, Juno Award Winner - Best Aboriginal
Music Award. Lawrence Martin, known musically as "Wapistan" is Cree from
James Bay, also served as Mayor for two terms in Sioux Lookout Ontario.
Lawrence also served as Grand Chief.
Odawa will also feature art from Aboriginal Artist "Wabimeguil".
Doors open at 5pm, offering refreshments, including
burgers, hotdogs and the like. The "opening act" should begin around 6pm.
Lawrence "Wapistan" will begin his performance by 6:40pm.
