[OPIRG-EVENTS] Karim Karim at the Public Library





Islamic Peril: Media and Global Violence by Dr. Karim H. Karim

Thursday, December 13, 12:00 noon.

The program will be held in the Main Library Auditorium, 120 Metcalfe Street,

  Dr. K H. Karim will read from and discuss his award winning publication 
Islamic Peril: Media and Global Violence.

Islamic Peril won the prestigious Robinson Book Prize 2001, which is
awarded annually to the best book in the field of communication studies.

Following the recent tragic events in the United States, Dr. Karim has
  been much sought after by the media who wish to gain a better 
understanding of
the issues surrounding the terrorist events.  The topic of his book is
timely and relevant.

Karim teaches at the School of Journalism and Communication at Carleton
University in Ottawa.
