[OPIRG-EVENTS] World Federalists Meet on Environment

You are invited to the next meeting of the World Federalists, this
Tuesday, February 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the Sandy Hill Community Centre,
250 Somerset Street East, Ottawa.
The speaker will be Angela Rickman, deputy director of the Sierra Club
of Canada, on the subject "Sustainable Development at the Crossroads:
What Hope for Rio + 10?"
Rio refers to the Earth Summit on the environment and sustainable
development held in Rio de Janeiro in 1992. The 10th anniversary
follow-up conference will be held this year.
A period for questions and refreshments follow the talk.
World Federalists advocate more just and effective global governance
through the application of the principles of democratic federalism to
world affairs.
