[OPIRG-EVENTS] Education Equality Task Force - Public Consultation coming in Sept.




         Education Equality Task Force - Public Consultation  

The Task Force will provide students, parents, educators and other members of the public 
with opportunities to provide input into the review. Consultation plans include:

 ·       The public is invited to contribute written submissions by September 30, 2002. 
Submissions may be sent via this web site or by mail to Education Equality Task Force, 
P.O. BOX 22, 77 Wellesley Street West, Toronto, Ontario M7A 1N3. 

·      Public consultation sessions will be held in September at six sites across the province: 
Thunder Bay, North Bay, London, Ottawa, Barrie and Toronto. Further information will be 
posted on this website as soon as it is available.   

The Education Equality Task Force is conducting an independent review of the education 
funding formula for Ontario's publicly funded schools.

This website is a venue to submit written submissions to the Task Force, and to provide 
ongoing information about the Task Force's activities.

  Head of the Education Equality Task Force Dr. Mordechai Rozanski  
Dr. Mordechai Rozanski has been President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of 
Guelph since 1993. A graduate of McGill University, Dr. Rozanski received a Ph.D. in 
Modern Chinese History from the University of Pennsylvania in 1974. He spent 25 years 
as a professor and university administrator in the United States before returning to Canada 
and the University of Guelph.  


Personal information collected through your submissions is being collected because it is 
necessary to the proper administration of the Education Equality Task Force and will be 
used to inform the Task Force's review of the education funding model. For further
