Ron and I disagreed about this offline, but I thought I would point out to
the list that if you use Greg Rose's hashes as a kind of generalized pointer
to a parenthesized S-expression, at whatever level of nesting, you might
achieve some efficiencies -- either of transmission or of processing.
Apparently, Ron and Butler had considered and discarded the idea, but I
suspect it's worth considering further by implementors.
