Peace and Development Series : Nonviolent Resistance
to Nuclear Weapons in India Today

South Asia Partnership Canada
invites you to a brown bag lunch presentation
by

Dr. S.N. Subba Rao
Director, National Youth Project, India

He is known as the Living Gandhi of India. Many Indians believe that he is
the only alternative leader, when there is dearth of value based leadership
in every sphere. Dr. Subba Rao, with his persistent and tenacious endeavor,
has spread a network of his companions throughout India. According to P.V.
Rajgopal, former Director of the Gandhi Peace Foundation, "he possesses all
the qualities which a meaningful leadership could be conceived with. The
youth of India has accepted his leadership because of his farsightedness,
transparency, character, similarity between his precept and practice, his
ability to mix up with common people and to establish a dialogue with them
at their level, his humility, simplicity, popular way of life......"

Date: Wednesday, July 15, 1998
